Hertzog Auction has the capabilities to conduct auctions at your site or ours. Our auction center is located at the intersection of 5 th and Main in Greenwood, MO. We regularly hold building material auction as well as antique auctions at this facility. Should you require an onsite auction we can meet that need as well, our fully computerized office is ready to move when needed. Hertzog Auction can also arrange many other requirements for a successful auction: Auction setup labor, on site food services, portable toilet rentals, display tables and cases, tents, trailers and many other necessities.

Auctioneers and Staff

Jerry Hertzog (Lead Auctioneer)
Jerry founded the company in 1967 after he spent time attending University of Missouri and spending a number of years selling to grocery chains in the Kansas City area. Jerry attended Mason City Auction School in the mid 60's and not only spent his early years selling for clients but also as a regular auctioneer at the St. Joseph Livestock Market. Over the years Jerry has sold 1000's of auctions ranging from fundraisers to large commercial dispersals and more. In the early 1990's Jerry and his son Jim founded Mo-Kan livestock located in Passaic, MO which is a large selling market located just an hour south of Kansas City.

Jim Herzog (Auctioneer)
Jim joined his father in the auction business in the early 80's helping prepare and sell all matter of auctions. Also a graduate of the Mason City Auction School, Jim spends a great deal of time with the day to day and selling operations of Mo-Kan Livestock Market. He and his father founded the state of the art sale barn which today sells over 60,000 head of cattle per year thru regular weekly and special monthly auctions.

Todd Hertzog (Auctioneer)
Todd marks the 3rd Generation of auctioneer for the Hertzog family; he is currently a student at Pittsburg State University majoring in business management. When not in school of playing football for the Pitt State Gorillas, Todd assists with all the Mo-Kan and Hertzog Auctions that he can. Upon graduation he will join his grandfather and father in the operations of Mo-Kan and Hertzog Auction Co.

Ron Flaigle (Auctioneer)
Ron has been working with the Hertzog Auction Company for over 20 years. He attended the Kansas City Auction School and has sold 1000's of sales with the Auction Company and Mo-Kan Livestock. Ron also sells weekly sales at the livestock market in Paola, KS. Ron is a licensed Real Estate Agent with Crown Realty of Kansas.

Chris Demien (Auction Coordinator, Auctioneer)
Chris has been with the Hertzog Auction Company since 2005. He has a bachelor's degree from Central Missouri State University and attended the World Wide College of Auctioneering in Mason City, IA. Chris handles the day to day operations and auction coordination for Hertzog Auction Company. He is also a licensed real estate agent with Keller Williams Platinum Partners in Lee's Summit, MO.
